LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Metro police are investigating a deadly crash that killed two people in the southwest Las Vegas valley.
Police said that the “double fatal” crash occurred Monday evening in the area of South Rainbow Boulevard and West Spring Valley Parkway.
According to police, a sedan was making a left turn onto Spring Valley Parkway when a motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Rainbow Boulevard at a high rate of speed.
The motorcyclist then crashed into the front the sedan.
Both the motorcyclist and the passenger of the sedan were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the sedan was taken to a local hospital with “serious injuries,” police said.
Police are asking drivers to avoid the area as they investigate. No other details have been released at this time. Stay with 8 News Now for updates.
