D.C.-area forecast: Rainy at times today into tomorrow; trending warmer this

Our early spring is chugging right along, still on the cool side, but warmer by this weekend. We’ve got rain at times today into tomorrow as a cold front slowly makes its way across the region. That means plenty of clouds, too, before a brighter Friday with a gusty breeze. After highs near 50 to near 60 today through Friday, weekend temperatures should climb into the 60s to near 70, still with a few showers possible.

Tomorrow (Thursday): Occasional showers remain possible, especially from D.C. and I-95 to the east, then drying out by late afternoon into evening. Winds turn somewhat breezy from the north with highs in the 50s. Many spots could end up with two-day rain totals around 0.5 to 0.75 inches, though some spots north and west of D.C. may see as little as 0.25 inches, while some spots south and east may see as much as 1.25 inches.
