Doral is moving forward with an ordinance that will implement regulations for building applications that fall under the Live Local Act to expand affordable housing in Florida.
The act, officially Senate Bill 102, has brought tremendous concern not only to Doral but many other cities and counties throughout the state. The reason is the deficiency of that bill itself and the fact that it allows residential development in industrial, commercial and mixed-use areas, said Julian Perez, the city’s community development, planning and zoning director, at the Feb. 14 city council meeting.
