LOS ANGELES – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County inched up one-tenth of a cent for the second consecutive day Sunday to $4.795.
The average price is 1.2 cents less than one week ago, 25.6 cents more than one month ago, and 4.4 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.699 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price rose 1.3 cents to $4.755. It is six- tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 32.5 cents more than one month ago, and 5.2 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.704 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the eighth time in nine days following a 10-day streak of increases, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $3.262. It is 1.7 cents less than one week ago, 16 cents more than one month ago, and 11.1 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.754 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
