Miami area drivers continued to get a break at the pump, with prices reported as low as $2.31 per gallon of regular in the County.
Average gasoline prices in Miami fell 5.4 cents per gallon last week, now averaging $3.13 per gallon as of Sunday, according to a survey of 1,690 gas stations by the website and gas price tracking app GasBuddy.
The new average is 15.0 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and 16.5 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
“Gasoline inventories saw another large rise, putting some downward pressure on gas prices, and leaving an opportunity for the national average to potentially briefly fall below $3 per gallon,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
According to GasBuddy, the cheapest station in Miami was priced at $2.31 per gallon Sunday, with the most expensive was $4.99 per gallon.
Price on Key Biscayne remained unchanged for the week at $4.49 per gallon in both island’s gas stations.
