After two straight weeks of declining gas prices, Miami drivers are paying almost 15 cents (14.9) more per gallon to gas up their tank than this time last week.
The average price of a gallon of regular gas in Miami is now $3.19, and almost 8 cents (7.6) per gallon higher than last month.
Miami gas prices in 2024 remain lower than last year by 39.6 cents per gallon.
According to the website and gas price tracking app GasBuddy’s survey of 1,690 stations in Miami, the cheapest station in Miami was priced at $2.75 per gallon Sunday while the most expensive was $4.99.
Gas prices on the island remained unchanged over the weekend at $4.49 per gallon.
“We’ve seen the national average price of gasoline bounce back up after cold weather-related refinery shutdowns pushed up the wholesale price of gasoline. Plus, recent GDP data and new attacks in the Red Sea have pushed oil prices to their highest level since November,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
