MIAMI – A tip from a cloud storage service that someone had uploaded 74 files of child sexual abuse material led detectives to arrest a Miami man Monday, according to police.
Evaristo Ruiz-Guerra, 37, of Silver Bluff, is facing 15 felony charges related to the possession of child sexual abuse material.
According to an arrest report, Ruiz-Guerra uploaded videos to the storage service that showed girls as young as 3 years old being raped or otherwise sexually abused by men.
Authorities said they located Ruiz-Guerra Monday at a warehouse in the 3300 block of Northwest 41st Street.
An alleged confession, given during an interview at the Miami Police Department’s Special Victims Unit office was redacted from the arrest report.
Ruiz-Guerra remained in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center as of Tuesday afternoon. Jail records show a judge set his bond at $42,500.
