That’s some high praise.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s top choice for the person she would most want to get stoned with is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the Massachusetts Democrat revealed Monday.
Jon Favreau, a one time speechwriter for former President Barack Obama and the host of “Pod Save America,” offered Warren a selection of politician and celebrity options to build her list of people she would “hypothetically like to smoke weed with because they’d be a really fun time.”
Warren could hardly contain her excitement when Favreau presented the liberal lawmaker with The Rock as an option to include in her “dream blunt rotation.”
“Oh, The Rock! Oh, I’m stopping there,” Warren said. “I’m just choosing The Rock four times.”
In choosing the former professional wrestler and Hollywood actor, Warren snubbed President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.), former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY).
She also passed over pop star Taylor Swift and rapper Snoop Dogg.
While several states have legalized the recreational use of marijuana, it continues to be illegal under federal law.
The Massachusetts Democrat, who has served in the Senate since 2013, caveated her answer by insisting that “this has nothing to do with weed.”
“These are people you’d go get pedicures with. This is what you’re telling me? I just want to make sure I’m following this,” Warren told Favreau before playing along.
When Favreau asked her to choose from billionaire business tycoon Elon Musk, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to form a “nightmare blunt rotation,” Warren declined to answer.
“I’m starting to feel a little sick,” she quipped. “That is really awful to contemplate.”
