RICHBORO, PA —The Northampton Township Veterans Advisory Committee will hold a Town Hall Meeting for veterans on Monday, March 18 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Northampton Township Municipal Building, 55 Township Road, Richboro.
Matthew Allen, the director of Bucks County Veterans Affairs, will host a question and answer session on veteran issues, including burials at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, the application process for a Veterans ID card, services available through the Horsham Veterans Hospital, an overview of the CHAMPVA program and the introduction of a new Veterans Response Team.
A U.S. Navy reservist, Allen joined the department in 2023 after four years of active-duty Navy
service and nearly a decade spent as a deputy in the county sheriff’s office. As director of Veterans
Affairs, he is in charge of a department with three full-time employees and one part-time employee.
In addition to Allen, Veterans Services Officer Betty Carleo will offer an explanation of the claims process and details of the benefits available to veterans and their spouses.
The event is free and open to all veterans and their spouses.
