LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Four pedestrians were hit by an alleged DUI driver in North Las Vegas Monday night, according to police.
Just after 9:02 p.m., North Las Vegas Police Department officers were dispatched to the area of Lake Mead Boulevard and Englestad Street after reports of a crash involving a vehicle and several pedestrians.
Arriving officers determined that there was a large gathering of people in the parking lot of a business in the 600 block of W. Lake Mead Boulevard.
As the crowd continued to grow in size, police said some of the pedestrians entered the westbound #2 travel lane of Lake Mead Boulevard.
During this time, a silver 2019 Nissan Versa was westbound on Lake Mead Boulevard in the #2 travel lane.
According to police, the Nissan then struck four pedestrians, who were all transported to UMC with non-life-threatening injuries. The woman driving and a 17-year-old and 6-year-old passenger were not injured from the crash.
Police said the driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest and was booked into the North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center, where she faces charges for DUI and child endangerment.
Anyone who may have information about this crash is urged to contact NLVPD at (702) 633-9111 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (702) 385 -5555.
