LAS VEGAS –The Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada (DSOSN) has hired B&P Advertising, Media and Public Relations to handle its public relations needs.
DSOSN advocates for, promotes the interest of, and supports all people throughout Southern Nevada who are diagnosed with Down syndrome. Membership in the organization, as well as access to all its services, is also available to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), including those on the autism spectrum. DSOSN has a wide variety of recreational and impactful educational programs, all of which are designed to address the educational, employment, and independent living- needs of its members. The organization is committed to providing people and families within its service population with free access to all its programs, specifically designed to support members of the disability community.
To help support and sustain its programs, DSOSN presents two signature fundraising events each year; the annual Las Vegas Buddy Walk, and the Christmas holiday-themed gala event, The Festival of Trees and Lights.
B&P President Chuck Johnston said the agency is “excited to help this longtime local nonprofit tell its very compelling story while raising awareness, increasing understanding and support and highlighting DSOSN’s impact in the community.”
