INDIANAPOLIS — In a House Public Policy Committee meeting Tuesday, Rep. Matt Lehman, R-Berne, introduced Senate Bill 20, authored by Sen. Travis Holdman, R-Markle, which would allow the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission to issue restaurant permits allowing people to drink alcohol in areas of riverfront development. The commission can already issue permits for cities.
“This expands out to towns that would meet the same criteria. That’s pretty much the crux of the bill,” said Lehman.
