CHINOOK PASS, Wash.-The Department of Transportation plans to begin work to clear two washouts to the east and west of the Chinook Pass summit on Monday, May 6.
There is currently no estimated time for when SR 410/Chinook and SR 123/Cayuse Passes will be reopened, however, WADOT hopes to have the roadway cleared by Memorial Day.
The 6,000 cubic yard washout on the eastside will start on May 6, while westside washout repair is set to begin once snow removal is complete and the WADOT will provide updates on the washouts every Friday.
