With Moon Knight Season 1 set to be released on 4K UHD and Blu-ray, fan demand for a second season of the Disney+ series has never been higher. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Marvel Studios has any immediate plans for Oscar Isaac’s Fist of Khonshu in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Speaking with Screen Rant to promote the upcoming Blu-ray release of Moon Knight, costume designer Meghan Kasperlik confirmed that a second season was not in development yet at Marvel. “No, people have been asking me and maybe that’s why, because of ‘The Complete First Season’ of the Blu-ray, but no, I’ve heard nothing. I’ve heard nothing about it,” she said. Starring Oscar Isaac, Moon Knight premiered in March 2022, running for six episodes on Disney+. The 4K UHD and Blu-ray steelbook release was announced two years later and is set to become available on April 30.
Shawn Levy Reveals If MCU Fans Need to Do Any ‘Homework’ Before Seeing Deadpool & Wolverine
Director Shawn Levy reveals which X-Men and MCU movies, if any, will be required viewing for fans before seeing Deadpool & Wolverine.
Kasperlik was also asked if there were “any other looks” from the comics that she would love to adapt in a potential Moon Knight Season 2, responding that “it all depends on what the story would be.” She explained, “Because so many times when shows say that they’re only doing one season or whatnot, then they come back, something about the story changes so much or a new character is incorporated that is not maybe necessarily thought of. Listen, if they do a season 2, I am on board. I loved it so much, but I haven’t gotten any phone calls.”
Is Moon Knight Part of the MCU’s Rumored Midnight Sons Project?
Although Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige teased Moon Knight’s MCU future in February 2023, the Fist of Khonshu has yet to reappear in the franchise. However, with a Midnight Sons project reportedly in development at Marvel, it is possible that Moon Knight could be part of the team’s initial line-up alongside other supernatural characters like Blade, Werewolf by Night, and Agatha Harkness. Isaac already revealed earlier this year that he would love for Moon Knight to appear in a Midnight Sons project, expressing interest in seeing the character deal with being part of a team.

Blade Reportedly Sets Up Midnight Sons
According to trusted insider Daniel Richtman, Marvel Studios’ upcoming Blade reboot will lay the groundwork for a Midnight Sons crossover project. Richtman previously reported that Marvel was working on a Midnight Sons movie in February 2024, with composer-turned-filmmaker Michael Giacchino (Werewolf by Night) attached to direct.
The Blade reboot has been in development hell since Marvel Studios announced the movie at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con. Blade has undergone several script rewrites, with the latest draft reportedly set in the present-day MCU. Mahershala Ali will reprise the role of Blade following his vocal cameo in the 2021 film, Eternals, with Mia Goth attached to play the main antagonist, rumored to be Lilith, Mother of All Demons. Blade is reportedly set to begin filming in Fall 2024.
