Suspect turns himself in to Las Vegas police two days after deadly shooting


LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A suspect in a deadly Las Vegas shooting turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday.

According to a police report, LVMPD officers responded to a shooting call on the 4900 block of Holt Avenue just after 5:30 p.m. on January 28. Arriving officers found a male victim near a vehicle parked on the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Medical personnel responded and took the victim to UMC Trauma where he was later pronounced dead. The investigation by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated that the victim was involved in a verbal dispute with another man prior to the shooting.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified 44-year-old Eric Alexander Williams as a suspect in this case.

On January 30, Williams turned himself in at the Clark County Detention Center. He was booked for open murder.
